In the six months after the effective date, the newly split shares outperformed the index by 4.7%. Walmart stock closed at $165.59 per share on Tuesday, less than $5 from its all-time high. Goldman Sachs announced its 2023 class of managing directors Thursday afternoon, giving 608 employees the coveted title. It's a smaller cohort than the bank's 2021 MD class, down 5% amid a dealmaking slowdown. Still, Goldman appears to have taken pains to promote employees in revenue-generating divisions like investment banking and trading. Goldman says the percentage of women it promoted as part of the 2023 MD class sets a record, up 1% from 2021. Two years ago, Goldman promoted the largest managing director class in its history, naming 643 employees to the designation in 2021.

The firm listed the pet food stock as a top pick, reiterating its outperform rating. Analyst Rupesh Parikh was encouraged after the company's quarterly results on Monday, which showed a smaller-than-expected quarterly loss. "In addition, we view high short interest and continued investor skepticism towards the company's ability to deliver on longer-term targets as positives to the FRPT bull case." The analyst added that the company's progress toward profitability will help sustain the firm's bullish outlook on Freshpet stock, as well as protecting from investor short interest. "Based on our conversations, we believe FRPT remains under-owned and investors continue to be skeptical on management's ability to deliver on longer-term targets (short interest ~15.9% of float)," he said.

NEW DELHI, March 27 (Reuters) - India's cabinet is set to adopt a gas panel report this week, which has recommended capping the price for most local gas at $6.50 per million British thermal units (mmBtu) in April, two sources said on Monday. India last year set up the panel, led by energy expert Kirit Parikh, to review India's gas pricing formula to ensure fair prices to consumers after state-set prices of gas from old fields and a ceiling price for output from hard-to-access, difficult blocks rose to record highs. The current price of gas from old blocks is set at $8.57 and is valid from October to end-March. Oman and Dubai crudes make up on average 75.6% of India's crude basket, with 24.5% coming from dated Brent. India's current local gas prices are linked to global benchmarks and are revised twice a year in April and October.

Parikh expects fewer investments in media companies out of the new fund, but more investments in gaming. It's doling out the money through two accelerator programs and an investment fund.
